Azima Nyota kwa Afrika
Our first beloved bitch is Azima, bred by Birgit Brüger in a small kennel near Hamburg / Germany. Azima means talisman and wonder in swahili and she really means both to us. Her kennel-name Nyota kwa Afrika is swahili too and means Star of Africa – according to the marvelous stars shining in warm african nights high above in the sky…
Azima's characteristics
Date of birth: 18.04.2001 ID: VDH 01/145R0018 Height: 65 cm, Weight: 34 kg Colour: redwheaten, no white, little black mask HD A1/excellent/free, ED/OCD free Full dentition Thyroid normal
Azima on shows
On Dog Shows Azima does her work excellent: According to the judges she is an upstanding and well balanced bitch with typical head, correct dentition, long and correct ridge, very good angulations, excellent fore chest, she moves very well, and is of outstanding friendly temperament.

Azima's activities
Even as a little puppy Azima was adventurous and curious to learn new things. We did a lot of dog training together.
She loves to retrieve dummies! And of course she loves her long daily walks to meet friends, to play "catch me if you can", to check rabbits and squirrels, and to search for mice. It's a pleasure for her to accompany the horse. We also do some obedience training.
A-Litter
We had our first litter on June 9th 2005 from the mating of
Ch. Karoskloof TT Simply Red "Bongani" x Azima Nyota kwa Afrika
and got 5/7 beautiful, healthy puppies. One of them stayed with us:
Makalali's Amazing Makena
Makena means the lucky one - in double sense of words.
First of all because she's the one to stay home with her mother Azima.
Secondly because she's of a sunny, joyous temperament.
Makena's characteristics
Date of birth: 09.06.2005
Like her mother she loves to get lessons in obedience training, to retrieve all sorts of objects, or to just play and fool around.
Breeding
We are planning our B-litter for 2011.
